Emergency Order
On August 13, 2026, Indiana Governor Braun issued Executive Order 26-21, which declared a statewide disaster emergency due to the recent severe weather that resulted in significant property damage throughout the state.
ProAssurance is instituting a moratorium for cancellations and nonrenewals due to non-payment of any insurance premium for insureds directly affected by the weather disaster event that occurred during August 11–16. This directive is effective August 10 through October 16 and may be extended.
We will continue to monitor communications for directives related to our insureds and will provide updates as they become available.
